Game Designer (Balance & Economy)

We’re looking for a Game Balance & Economy Designer to help us keep our game economy in top shape, making it engaging for players and effective for the business. Working closely with the team lead, you’ll be responsible for maintaining economic balance, running A/B tests, developing new offers, and helping other teams integrate their features into the economy in a smart and sustainable way.

What you will be doing:

  • Owning the game’s economy end-to-end: from core gameplay balance to premium currency systems and in-game offers.
  • Launching A/B tests, analyzing results, and proposing data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborating with other teams (Core Feature, LTE, R&D) to ensure all features fit smoothly into the overall economy.
  • Creating offers for in-app purchases and reward-based monetization.
  • Optimizing offers based on analytics with a focus on increasing ARPU and retention.
  • Exploring and implementing innovative monetization mechanics.

What we expect from the candidate:

  • Experience as a Game Designer focused on economy and monetization in mobile F2P games.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (e.g. Amplitude, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of in-game currency systems, shops, offers, and progression loops.
  • Data analysis skills and ability to form hypotheses aimed at growing key metrics (ARPPU, LTV).
  • Ability to clearly document and present economic decisions to the team.
  • Passion for numbers and a constant drive to improve metrics.

It’s a Plus If You Have:

  • Experience with or solid understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • Knowledge of LiveOps and the ability to align it with the game economy.
  • Deep familiarity and hands-on experience with Idle games.
  • Prior involvement in monetization A/B testing on shipped projects.
