Analytics Engineer

We are rebuilding the analytics function at Highcore from the ground up. Our architectural foundation is built on BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and Tableau.

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to take ownership of building, scaling, and curating this architecture. Your primary mission is not only to maintain and evolve the data platform but also to deeply immerse yourself in the product cycle, building dashboards that help the team make high-impact, data-driven decisions.

What You’ll Do:

Data Platform (60%)

  • Own and evolve the dbt project: Design new data models and maintain existing layers.
  • Develop and maintain Airflow DAGs: Create new pipelines, monitor performance, and diagnose failures.
  • Ensure data quality: Implement rigorous testing and monitoring frameworks.
  • Documentation with an AI-first mindset: Document data processes so they are easily consumable by both humans and AI agents.

Product Analytics & BI (40%)

  • Build and maintain production-quality dashboards in Tableau.
  • Master product metrics: Maintain a strong understanding of KPIs and actively participate in the process of improving them.
  • Proactive optimization: Identify data anomalies, seek out optimal structures, and explore new tools to streamline the data pipeline.
  • Architecture Partnership: Work closely with the Head of Analytics on the long-term evolution of the platform.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Data or Analytics Engineer.
  • dbt Mastery: Proven experience designing models, layers, and transformation logic.
  • Advanced SQL: Deep experience with BigQuery and query optimization.
  • Python for Data: Proficiency in data validation, automation, and API integrations.
  • Airflow: Experience managing DAGs, task dependencies, and scheduling.
  • Tableau: Ability to build professional dashboards (or a strong willingness to master the tool independently).
  • F2P Metrics: A solid understanding of free-to-play business models and metrics.
  • Documentation Culture: You treat data documentation as a product in itself.
  • Git: Experience with Git-based workflows for analytical code.
  • AI-Native: You leverage modern tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar in your daily workflow.

Bonus Points:

  • AI/LLM Interest: A genuine interest in AI agents and their application within analytical processes.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in Gamedev or related mobile-first industries.
